The year that was… it began with trying to sell out house with vengeance which ended eventually with the sale of our house in November. Mission accomplished! In between some lovely exhibitions were had. The first one began at the Surface Gallery in Nottingham during the month of January, then venturing over to Audlem Mill in Staffordshire in March with the Guild of Waterway Artists’ Braunston in June for the annual Historic Boats Festival. A spectacular weekend was had with music and dance. Surrounded by enthusiasts! Boaters and artists. music, singing and dancing, alongside painters showing their wares. September was a mellow month as we headed as a Guild of Waterway Artists’ over to the Black Country Museum to join in with their fun, we enjoyed the whole event whilst exhibiting; taking in the ambiance of such a spectacular place.
The Future is unfolding as the year comes to a close, new beginnings fore-tell a move on to a narrowboat called Hekla. My new artists studio in the making.
Best Wishes for the new year and thank you for your interest and kind comments over the past 12 months. I hope to be busy with new ideas whilst painting and drawing in some beautiful – interesting places whilst travelling once again on the river and canal networks on our narrowboat Hekla. It has been nice to reminisce; the people we met, the paintings we sold, sunny days and a joining of artists. It makes it all worth while!
Wishing you a Happy New Year and Good fortune for you as 2014 unfolds…
